Childhood friends (sisters) Edna and Shirley became Jennifer and Jessica just because they hated the originals so much. As long as you're not hiding from the authorities, go for it! BTW, I have never known a man to do this. I hate the name Howard but have grown used to the convenience of never having to give my last name on the phone because there are so few of us in the world!
