Mailchimp newsletter or Blog Posts in your Inbox
If you had previously chosen to receive our email newsletter or signed up to get blog posts in your inbox, the data that you submitted to us (e.g. name and email address) was stored on MailChimp, which provided us with email marketing services. We consider MailChimp to be a third-party data processor (see below). The data that you submitted was not stored within this website’s own database.
Your email address will remain within MailChimp’s database archive until the end of May 2025 when we will download all the analytics statistics (such as opening rates) and will delete the data from the archive. If you wish us to remove you from the archive before this date, please email us and ask us to do so.
Mature Content on Substack
We use Substack to host our Mature Content newsletter and articles. This is an external site and they have their own privacy policy which can be found here: https://substack.com/privacy. We use Google Analytics and Search Console to see how many people visit the Mature Content Substack pages, which countries they are viewing the website from, and what search terms they used to find it. We use the GA4 code which does not log or store ip addresses. We have also removed the collection of granular location and device data for anyone visiting MailChimp or our website in the EU. This means the following data is not collected in the EU:
- City
- Browser minor version
- Browser User-Agent string
- Device brand
- Device model
- Device name
- Operating system minor version
- Platform minor version
- Screen resolution

We use the following third parties to process personal data on our behalf. These third parties are based in the United States and are committed to complying with the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (GDPR) when it comes into force on 25 May 2018. They are already EU-U.S Privacy Shield compliant.

Any information you provide to us will either be emailed directly to us at a Gmail account or may be stored on a secure server located in the UK. We use a trusted third-party website and hosting provider (Kualo) to facilitate the running and management of this website.
