Friday Pix: Recommended Reading For The Weekend

Every Friday I point you towards some recommended reading around the blogosphere:

1. After the tragedy in Arizona last week, I thought that American comedian/talk show host Jon Stewart summed up everything I could possibly say or feel. Here’s a transcript of his opening monologue.

2. Over on the excellent Write To Done blog, here’s A. Victoria Mixon with an editor’s view of what it takes to be a good writer.

3. This is priceless. It’s a video of young children in Quebec trying to identify old gadgets at the Boston Globe’s Brainiac blog.

4. I absolutely adore this blog – Hyperbole and a Half. Check out the Christmas post entitled “The Year Kenny Loggins Ruined Christmas.” If you like that, you’ll also want to see the video she made to Save the Huemul on You Tube. (Hat Tip: @JeffreyWeissPD)

5. Finally, as long as we’re watching awesome videos, do check out this old (but new to me) clip by British Comedian Eddie Izzard entitled Death Star Canteen. Truly Lol.

Have a great weekend!
